When populations are high, larval feeding in spring can cause substantial damage to trees. Young larvae bore into buds and developing shoots causing them to wilt and die. It occurs in Europe and the west coast of the United States. The peach twig borer is a pest of stony fruits such as peaches, apricots, cherries and plums. ![]()
